Shazbot
Shazbot is a native macOS menu bar SSH tunnel manager. This policy describes how Shazbot handles your data.
Data collected
None. Shazbot does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, and no usage tracking of any kind.
Network activity
The only network connections Shazbot makes are the SSH connections you explicitly configure and initiate. Shazbot never makes any other network requests — there is no "calling home," no update check, and no background activity beyond your tunnels.
Data stored on your Mac
Shazbot stores your server and tunnel configurations locally in its App Group container. Passwords and key passphrases are stored in the macOS Keychain. This data never leaves your Mac.
App Sandbox
Shazbot runs fully sandboxed under the macOS App Sandbox and with a Hardened Runtime. It requests only the entitlements required to establish SSH connections and read key files you explicitly grant access to.
